Biography
Christof’s research on non-uniform distribution of slip in tsunami sources and tsunami ensemble simulation computer framework has been instrumental in delineating tsunami evacuation zones, and hazard and risk assessment efforts throughout New Zealand.
Project role
In the ‘Beneath the Waves’ research programme, Christof is Christof is advising on and will be applying deep learning and other data-science methods to identify precursor signals in geophysical data collected during the programme.
